Billy Martindale

A proud North Texan, Dr. Martindale began his veterinary career at the Morton Street Animal Hospital 1136 in 1968 after earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M and later purchased the original hospital from Dr. W. M. Porter in 1975. After more than 50 years of dedicated practice, he has embraced semi-retirement but remains actively involved at Morton Street Animal Hospital. Passionate about organized veterinary medicine, Dr. Martindale has served in leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels, including as President of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2004. He currently represents Texas as a delegate for the American Veterinary Medical Association. At home, Dr. Martindale and his wife, Linda, cherish time with their ever-growing family, which includes 6 daughters, 1 son, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. They are deeply involved in the Park Avenue Church of Christ, where he serves as an elder and teaches Bible classes. In his free time, he enjoys perfecting his golf game, experimenting in the kitchen, and getting lost in a good book.
